Raised Ink Business Cards
Introductory video showing raised ink business cards (known as thermography) from The Print Warehouse, an established printing company in Nottingham.
Raised ink has become popular with our clients over that last few years, the technical printing term is thermography and basically it is achieved by a thermographic powder which is applied to the ink when wet (so it sticks) and it is then heated which then has the effect of raising the ink.
Because of the printing processes involved it is better suited to one or two colours, although it is possible to combine with colour printing e.g. many clients have a full colour company logo in conventional “flat” ink and then have e.g. the contact details raised on the business card
There are a few technicalities of raised ink business cards, the most common ones we have addressed in the free video, but please feel free to email across your artwork so we can talk through your particular project in more detail
