I illustrated 3 Pokemon postcards a while back, and ordered postcards from Vistaprint and this is the unboxing and reaction to colours and paper as I do so.
The three designs are:
*Ghastly, Haunter and Gengar Trio
The colour is very good, and I’m very happy with the results. The paper thickness is a good weight and looks professional.
Paper: 215 g/m2 one-sided Glossy with UV varnish was included, and used on these postcards.
There were two other options which were an extra .99 – 270 g/m2 Recycled Matte, and 350 g/m2 Silk with one-sided Glossy UV varnish.
The back side of the postcard did have an option for printing, where greyscale is .99 and full colour is .99. I chose blank which was free.
Notes: The “safety line” guide was fine, and I had no problems even with the Snorlax design going over. Just be aware that it could be cut off.
You can put a “postcard” design on the back for sending through the mail, you can use text, or QR code also.
