WebShoApps USPS Shipping via Endicia is the official Endicia extension for Magento.
Hi I’m Daniel with WebShopApps
I’m going to show you how to create a shipment in Magento and generate a USPS shipping label with our USPS Shipping via Endicia extension.
In order to do this, you’re going to need to make sure that you’ve already done the following:
1. You need to have the USPS Shipping via Endicia extension installed
2. You need to have signed up for an Endicia Label Server account
3. You need to have the extension configured with your ELS account details
4. You need to have shipping labels enabled in the configuration
5. And you’ll need to make sure your store origin is configured under Shipping Settings in Magento
6. If you haven’t yet completed these steps, visit support.webshopapps.com/endicia for help.
So let’s create a shipment and generate a USPS shipping label.
Log into your Magento Admin Panel and select “Orders” under the “Sales” menu. Here you can see your recent orders.
Click on “View” by the order you want to print and, if the order hasn’t yet been shipped, you’ll see a “Ship” button at the top.
From here you can create a new shipment for your order. At the bottom you’ll see a few options. You want to check the “Create Shipping Label” option and you’ll probably want to email a copy of the shipment to your customer to inform them that you’ve shipped their order.
Then, click on “Submit Shipment.”
This will bring up Magento’s “Create Package” interface. You want to add all of the products that you’ll be shipping in this package to the package. You’ll see that the weight is already updated based on your product’s weights.
Make sure you select the correct type of package. Enter the Length, width, and height of your shipment and click OK.
You can see that the shipment and the shipping label have both been created and, if you scroll down, you can see there’s now a “Track the order” option.
To print the shipping label click on “Shipments” on the left-hand side and you’ll see the shipment we just created. Click on that and you’ll see the option to print the shipping label. Clicking the “Print Shipping Label” button downloads a PDF of the label to your computer.
You can now print this label to a 4x6in thermal label, a ½ page label via your desktop printer, or directly to a standard 8 ½ x 11 page.
